Energy:
Lynzee can focus herself and emit a ball of energy from her hands but it does an unfortunate mass effect instead of single. As long as she casts it at a distance from herself and her friends, she can manage not to hurt anyone she's not intending to hurt.
Mystic:
She was trained under a shape shifting shaman and with her mystical abilities, she can turn herself invisible. This one is a new skill she has learned and sometimes she flubs it because the drain can be far greater than the benefit, depending on how well she concentrates. A failure means she does not go invisible and she has drain from it. This cannot be combined with metamorph.
Metamorph:
Id was a shifter and he taught her a spell to morph into any variety of cat, including tigers, domestic cats, jaguars, etc. Again, the cost on drain could potentially be debilitating, should she fail the spell.
Telekinesis:
Using telekinesis, she can transport herself in flight with virtually no drain.
Magic:
A spell, Chaotic Confusion. she had learned quite easily since her entire life had been chaotic since as long as she could remember. With no memory of her life before 10, she's sort of detached as to how to act in public so well, and chaos is easy for her. The Chaotic Confusion spell affects technological systems (electronics) and senses for humans, to give them the illusion of disorder and chaos.
Lynzee. A first name. She has nothing else to go by. She has no history from the time of her awakening, when she was 10. Parents? Who knows?.. She can't remember. All she knows is Id. Id was her friend. Id was her mentor. Now, it remains to be seen whether Id was real.. or an imagined friend. Id showed her the basics of living. He showed her the way of the fox. She was sneaky. She was cunning. She had to be to survive.
Her childhood began at 10, as mentioned before. She woke one fine morning.. walking. She was actually out walking when she awoke. And she had no idea who she was, or where she was or even why she was there. She felt all tingly and strange. Nothing was as it should be.. if she even knew how it should be. Seeing the world for the first time, through her eyes anyway, she explored.
The girl loved to run and play. Swam in the water often. She was free from any sort of hindrances of a past. Carefree she was. Id encouraged her to remain that way, while also teaching her how to survive alone. She would be cunning, she would be sly. She would. If her stomach hurt, he told her she was hungry. That she had to find food. He took her to the edge of the city. Pointed her in the direction of someone's garden and said, "Food." She learned to be stealthy, oh yes she did. Eventually. The people who would catch her in the beginning were none too nice to an intruder in their garden. They would throw rocks at her. Id took care of her. He always took care of her.
After awhile, no one caught her anymore. No, she was just that good. With help from her mentor after awhile, she learned that tingly feeling was magic. She was magic! She saw it once on a television through a store window. Then went back and watched. Often. She could do those things! It took her many, many, many tries to get it all right. Id would laugh at her. Tell her she couldn't do magic, teasing her or maybe pushing her in his own way. But she knew she could! She did! And she went wild for awhile. Flinging things here and there. Doing whatever one wanted at such a young age, couldn't have been good for her.
By the time she was 11, she was well versed in the ways of the magic. She wanted more! But Id told her she couldn't. She had to do what she knew. So, she practiced and practiced what she knew and became even better. At the age of 12, she decided she needed a name. Other people had names. Even Id. So… she went to peeking in windows again. Helga? She didn't want that one. No. She wanted something pretty. Frankfurter? She blanched at the thought. A host of other names assailed her, but she just didn't feel like a Hanz. Or a Lars. Or Gretchen. Or Delilah. Or Cleopatra.
Discouraged, she went home to Id. "Where do we live?" she asked him one day. Egypt, he had told her. So, she went exploring Egypt with him and realized she did know some things, like how to read pictures! Old, old pictures among other things. She saw people digging. And digging. Then they would wipe off the things they found, and show everyone. Proud expressions on their face. She wanted to do that too. So, she joined them, the 12 year old inquisitive kid. Without a name. They sort of adopted her, teaching her the special language they spoke, teaching her about archaeology, excavation and geology. She kept her magic to herself, practicing only each night after she went home. To Id.
After awhile, it was time for the crew to move on. They were international excavators and archaeologists. They invited her along. She talked to Id about it, but he was always negative. Still, she decided to go, and leave Id behind. Next stop? America! Oh she liked it there. But still, nameless, she left the site each night to peer in shop windows. Shelia? No, she didn't feel like one of those. Or a Billy. Finally, she was walking back to the dig site and someone called out, "Lynzee? Is that you?" mistaking her for someone else. She had a name. Whether it was her own or not didn't seem to matter. She shook her head, cause she knew she wasn't the person they were looking for. But she walked away with a smiled. She had a name. At the age of 12 and a half. Finally.
Lynzee loved her new name, and told everyone what it was. They all smiled and nodded approvingly. America was a nice place. This is where she got her name, this is where she would stay. This was home. So, when the time came, after the year was over, for the crew to leave, she bid them farewell and made a home in the forests of Washington. Sneaking in to town occasionally to steal food, or watch the television in someone's window. She's 15. She can speak 3 languages. Read? Sure. The archaeologists taught her. And Hieroglyphics? Of course. How she knew? No idea. However, someone had discovered her and her magic and she was being sent to a school. A really, real school to learn things. A little innocent, a lot naive she is better off in the protected environment of the school.
Phobia: Snakes:
Pretty self explanatory, snakes freak her out pretty hardcore.
Amnesia:
Since she was 10 is all she can remember and nothing before that. It's lost to her, so she believes. There are currently no flashes and it's been 4 years.
Power Drain:
AKA Mana drain. Performing mystic and magic abilities/spells, has the potential to seriously debilitate her. There is always a drain, sometimes as minor as a bad headache, sometimes unconsciousness for HourxLevel of skill.
Adventurous:
Oh how she does love to explore and sometimes is rash in decisions. More often than not though, she thinks before she acts, however, it depends on the level of fun promised.
