Thursday night at around 10:30PM or so a soothing blue light starts to leak out around the edges of room 101 in the Metis girls' dorm. after a few seconds its bright enough to be obvious to anyone in the hall and even noticeable in the other rooms attached to the hallway.

Sydney is headed back up from downstairs with a basket of laundry when she notes the light. Now it's possible that Callisto has a sun lamp in there and is trying to make her skin other than 'pasty white girl in winter time', or it might even be Boomie doing it, but Syd has her doubts about both. She heads to the door, sets her laundry down, and knocks gently, with a sound like someone tapping with a crescent wrench.

Bryce was down in the shared laundry room as well with his clothes. He managed to get them cleaned with Syndey's help and the dryer was okay. He just sat there and spent time with Sydney while waiting for the clothes to be done. When finished, he was going to head up the stairs to his room in the Prometheus hallway when he notices the light too. He leaves his basket of clothes in the lobby and walks down the hall behind Sydney, "What is that?"

Meanwhile, two of the more petite members of the dorm have ended up attracted by the shiny light. Silly lights tend to draw attention after all! As such, the two nosy girls forget what killed the cat and are walking in closely to see just what is going on with said light! For Cora, it might seem particularly odd since it's a light close in consistency to the one she can make with her own powers. For Gabrielle, its about plain old curiosity.

No response is given to Sydney's knock. Actually, there is no noise at all coming from behind the door, just light.

Following behind Cora, Gabrielle frowns slightly and takes a moment before saying, "Well, at least its not a spooky red light. Sydney, are you strong enough to force the lock?"

Sydney raises a steel eyebrow to Cora and takes the latch in hand. She gives it a gentle turn. No sense ripping the door down if it's unlocked, right? If the lock resists… well that's another matter. What's detention for property damage compared to something happening to one of her friends. "Maybe…" is all she says.

Bryce lifts a hand and touches Sydney on the shoulder. Though he rarely touched people, his girlfriend was an other issue. "I might be able to, uh, get through the door without, without ripping it off the hinges. Perhaps I should try that first?" He clothes his eyes just as the door opens anyway. "Oh, well, that is, uh, good. C-callisto?"

Cora suddenly takes a step back and there's still a further look of worry suddenly coming to her face. "I… I don't know if we should do that if we'll get in trouble." She says, biting her lower lip worriedly. "I can't risk detention." Yep, goody goody girl right here! Even if for reasons that make sense to her! But then the door is opened and she starts to squint a bit - worried about the light, which thankfully isn't too bad!

Gabrielle takes a few steps forward and sighs. "Oh boy. I recognize this shimmer. The color's a bit different but it might be because its in thin air instead of a wall. Trust me, its safe." Without another word she edges between Bryce and Sydney and steps into the light. Its like she's stepping into a deep pool or a mirror. She's reflected in the shimmer, merging into herself until she disappears out of sight leaving nothing but the shimmer and the room behind it, which remains empty.

Entering the door there is a brief flash of.. something. It feels real and yet, it's not. Absolutely not. Those who step forth through the portal shall find themselves accompanied by little beings that appear to be travelling that same astral pathway. A flash of a farm yard; of a barn. Those who are intrepid enough to enter this cartoony barn will see something… unexpected.

The interior is anything but barn-like. Rather than the commonplace things to be found in a barn — such as hay, tools, livestock — .. instead, it's an open-concept bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows; smooth edges, neutral colors with a slight bent toward cool hues. The view through these windows makes even less sense: a wide-open oceanscape, the skies a russet-gold. Sea birds. It smells fresh and clean in here… there's a sighing of waves.

Alicorns come forth through the portal, prancing; a rainbow of colors, the lot of them. An apple-green pony appears to be carrying a wrist-watch of sorts and to follow the ponies…? They appear to be frolicking around and toward a crystalline substance that is lying supine upon an elegant bed, in the middle of this unearthly room. The ponies appear to be working on this…. strange chrysalis.

Those who step forth through the portal shall find themselves accompanied by little beings that appear to be travelling that same psychic pathway; a construct. A flash of a farm yard; of a barn. Those who are intrepid enough to enter this cartoony barn will see something… unexpected.

Bryce steps through with Sydney close behind him. "B-be careful. This isn't, uh, natural." He looks around examining everything he can see letting his mind memorize everything for analysis later. As he sees the Chrysalis, he points over to it. "That, uh, that seems to be the source of much of this. Well, it might just be the focus of it." He carefully starts to walk towards it not using any powers of yet except just those of observation.

Cora shivers a bit, the last time she encountered these things she ended up in the Med Bay… because of a Friend. So they don't exactly have a good association for her! But all the same she takes some deep breaths and says, "I… I don't know what they're doing either." That's when she activates her own little ghostly light, it's different enough. More like dancing lightning in the swamp gas than bio luminescence.

Gabby leads the way to the barn, barely giving the alicorns any attention. Inside the barn, sitting next to the crystaline chrysalis is a long-legged alicorn with large feathered wings and graceful features, the only adult looking version of the alicorns in sight. Her pelt is a dark indigo blue and her mane is pearly white, overlong, flowing bringing attention to her cerulean eyes and overly long, tappered ears. A delicate sterling silver crown of sorts is nestled in the creature's mane, with a trio of onyx-like gems set into three glistening points.

As Gabrielle enters the barn the princess-like alicorn stands up, watching the newcomers attentively. Gabrielle bows to her and says, "Good eve, Princess Thlipsi. I thought we were done with the 'borrowing' of joy filled items?" The Princess nods regally in response to the bow, "We just needed an item or two more to complete her Majesty's chrysalis, which will bring joy back into her life." A long graceful wing extends to point at the crystal object next to her, slightly translucent and with some small gaps left over, which are being filled by the smaller alicorns, who are inserting small, pink crystals into the gaps.

Sydney follows Bryce in. Those watching closely might notice her fighting togs taking shape under her pajamas, most notably the blue gloves with the 'metal knuckle' strap and the matching boots. It doesn't look threatening, but they never do. She looks around, gaping, then, still following Bryce, whispers, "Are you seeing all this too?"

Bryce nods his head at Syndey's question. "I have a, a theory though it is only a, well, vague one." He gestures to the adult looking alicorn and says, "Um, ex-excuse me, Miss, um, oh, sorry, Princess. I, I do not have much experience with, well, uh, royalty." He takes a breath to calm his stammering as he says, "I am, well, I am Bryce. I would bow but my current, uh, well, it wouldn't be a good idea that present time. I'm sorry; however, I cannnot help but notice that you share the same, well, uh, eye color as my friend Ca-Callisto. You also share the same ear shape. Given our current, well, surroundings, I cannot help but think that is not an accident."

The one apple-green pony, holding the wrist watch, appears to siphon a sort of 'energy' from the object. Once the pink crystals are produced, this little pony slides them into a gap in the crystal formation. It's hard to see who rests within. The wrist-watch is unharmed and unaltered.

Cora's more or less just looking around wide eyed at all of this, completely overcome by perplexity. It's absolutely not something she's used to seeing! And that's not changing at all given the situation. Mostly… just following the lead of the others.

Gabrielle looks back and forth between Bryce and Thlispi a couple of times. Muttering under her breath she says, "You know… I'd never noticed that. I wonder if…" She starts walking towards the chrysalis but right as she's about 4 feet away all the alicorns, which had been ignoring the group and focusing on finishing the chrysalis, turn towards the blue haired girl. Their horns glow for a second in a all the colors of the rainbow and suddenly there's a barrage of sweet treats flying at Gabrielle. Cupcakes, pies, full on cakes… even a flan! With a yelp Gabrielle literally flashes away, the bright flash of her teleport momentarily washing out the gentler purple-blue ambiance light of moon. A second later she's clinging to the roof of the room, letting out an indignant, "Hey!" at the same time Princess Thlipsi says, "Please do not touch the chrysalis."

Once the regal-looking alicorn calms from the attempt at contact with the chyrsalis, she cranes her long neck in the direction of Gabrielle. "Eat, eat.. there is no need to poke at the chrysalis. We are busy. We need to complete it."

A pause, she faces Bryce next, "Oh, but I am her Majesty's most loyal, closest compatriot. She is above me. I wish only to make her happy." Says the graceful, dark-pelted alicorn. She turns eyes — indeed a like color to the fey girl in question — from the crystal to all assembled. "Won't you all have something lovely to eat? She asks airily, wanting so badly to please. Some of the sweet treats, having not been flung, actually hover sedately before the few students. A massive three-tiered wedding-style cake slooowly glides over in Cora's direction. Cerulean eyes observe Sydney next before turning lovingly toward the crystal form. "Her Majesty has experienced great sadness. We only wish to help." Declares Princess Thlipsi.

Sydney says, "This has to be someone's dream…I'll bet it's…" *splat* Splat splat splat. Syd's sentence is abruptly punctuated by flying pastry, since she was behind where Gabby was standing. The force of them does nothing whatever toward pushing her down. She wipes her eyes thoughtfully, and exhales sharply through her nose and mouth to clear the cream pie and crust away. "I've been hit with weird things before, but… I think this is the first time I've actually been pied." She brushes the goop off, for the most part, pausing now and then to lick her fingers. She looks at the wedding cake, then at the… alicorn. "Whoever her Majesty is, she's lucky to have such good friends…"

Bryce lifts his hand as though he is going to use his powers to protect himself; however, thinking better than using his powers at the moment, he tries to duck out of the way, but he is not nearly fast enough. He is nearly knocked down by the pastries considering his weakened state. He reaches out to grab a hold of Syndey to keep from falling. Trying to wipe the pie from his face, Bryce sputters, "She, I know she has gone through, well, a lot though a lot while intentionally considered a vague concept is not nearly precise enough to express her most recent difficulties, but she does not have to go through these times alone. She has helped many of us, even, even me when I …. " his face goes pale for a moment (even under the pie) as he recalls with perfect memory when he killed a man on a mission. His voice is softer, "When I needed help. I was in a dark place and she and, well, other friends found me."

Cora's really starting to wonder what sort of weird dream this is too… enough she doesn't think to try and avoid the cake either, but sure enough it splatters all over her and makes a very very real mess on her - this is gonna take a heck of a lot of laundry! And a good shower to get it out of her hair! She lets out a loud squeak at it too. And stands there with her hands out looking completely flabbergasted, even as she licks her lips and blinks. "You shouldn't throw the food." She says, finally piping up in her soft voice.

"Wait." Releasing her hold of the roof Gabrielle flips in the air and lands on her feet besides the rest of the students. And if it wasn't because she landed on a strawberry shortcake, slipping and stumbling thanks to the filing, it would have been a beautifully stuck landing too. Once she has her balance back she focuses on Bryce, "Are you telling me you thinks that's Callisto in the crystal Chrysalis??" Turning back to Princess Thlispi she adds, "Is it!?"

"Oh dear," Thlipsi whispers, turning to look upon a purple pony with mildly wonky eyes. "Nyuunuu, you were a touch heavy-hooved with the cake. What of a washing down with soda pop? They are covered-"

Oop, another question to address. Thlipsi listens thoroughly to Bryce, "Her Majesty thinks herself as incapable of being of much help to anyone. We have been trying to reassure her. And-" Gabrielle lands awkwardly upon the dessert and the princess watches her. "Callisto? I-"

Suddenly there is a glitter from within the chrysalis. Movement. A slender form, lying supine within, has begun to sit up. The solid-looking container around her body seems to 'move' with this body.. and the ponies' hard work seems ill-fated with how easily the construct is decimated by the motion. Pink crystal hangs now in a sort of harmless pink haze, lit from within with thousands of incandescent sparkles. The alicorns begin to frolic and move. Even Thlipsi is silent as the girl within the chrysalis, predictably Callisto, opens her eyes and looks upon her classmates…. she looks startled. But 'aware'.

Sydney glances over to Bryce, then at Callisto. "Callisto's a My Pretty Pony fan. Who knew? And not being someone who can help much? Pff. She's one of my best friends."

Bryce lets go of Sydney's arm hoping there isn't going to be any more flying food. "I wouldn't recommend eating anything," he whispers to those with him. He takes a deep breath and slowly walks towards the chrysalis as he sees her slowly sit up. "Callisto, Callisto. Don't you remember, you, you came into my dream, in my fear, you helped me face my f-f-father." Bryce tenses up a bit when he says 'father.' "I couldn't, wouldn't eat. Couldn't sleep. When I did I was, was plagued with nightmares. You came to me. You didn't need to, but in your, uh, your kindness you endured that for me." He holds out a hand towards the form but without touching anything. "Now, let us help you."

Cora tenses as suddenly there's talk of being doused in soda to help clean them off. She's shaking her head quickly, "No…" But anything more she was going to say is cut off as well - she really isn't terribly assertive! And so she's looking to see what else is there. "What's going to happen, well, after that is open?" She woners then, biting her lower lip.

Gabrielle watches quietly as Callisto comes out of her chrysalis. She really doesn't know her that well so if the whole goal is to make her feel better she's not going to be much help. So she let's Bryce take the lead, easy for the shy girl to do, and instead reaches out to take a gently floating lemon pie out of the air and starts to thoughtfully munch on it. Almost inaudibly she says, "Oh my God. Just as good as last time. Mouth orgasm…"

So she let's Bryce take the lead, easy for the shy girl to do, and instead reaches out to take a gently foating lemon pie out of the air and starts to thoughtfully muhnch on it. Almost inaudibly she says, "Oh my God. Just as good as last time. Mouth orgasm…"

"My.. Pretty Pony..?" Asks the willowy girl warily, reaching up to rub her eyes with the heels of her palms. She is outfitted in nightclothes; a camisole and loose flowing pants. "I know naught of-I…" Callisto looks confused. Why is she confused in her own dream? Is this a dream? She looks around the lovely interior of this 'barn' hazily. The alicorns, given to playing and hopping and doing as alicorns do.. are still and watchful. Even desserts hover, uncertain of what to do from here.

Callisto squints, turning her head — hair the very same color as Thlipsi's mane — toward Bryce as he speaks to her. Her cerulean eyes round themselves with astonishment. "Of course I did not have to.. I wanted to. I would do so again…" She says softly, then a realization hits her. She sees a few belongings that alicorns brought to her. She remembers a brief chat with Besa re: dreams getting our of hand. She looks at herself then around at the alicorns and realizes that these creatures.. rumored to be seen by students… causing issues.. they're here and this area FEELS like her own making and—

Callisto eases forth and cradles her head in her palms. "Gods, oh Gods.. did I cause this trouble?!" She cries out.. Princess Thlipsi looks worried. The dreamscape begins to flicker, and the alicorns show the first signs of anxiety.

Sydney watches the milling alicorns and thinks about it. "I think… I assume, I guess, that every one of us wonders what our powers are doing when we're dreaming." She licks her finger again, before considering what Bryce had to say a few moments ago. "This is pretty benign. If this is who your subconscious is, you really are a fairy of light and goodness."

Bryce won't lie to her because it isn't right. Also, he isn't good at it….at all. "Are you the, the cause of all this? Yes." He says simply though there is no animosity in his voice as he says it. "Though I would not call it, call it trouble. Bothersome? Irksome? Perhaps. Though not trouble. The only p-problem here is that you thought you had to face this alone. Just as you would, well, you would help any one of us who need your help, it is time to let us help you. I, I can't do much, I'm afraid, but I'll do all within my p-power both in the … well, in both uses of the word."

Cora looks over at Gabrielle then, a bit of shock in her eyes at what the other girl said, and a bit of a blush too. At least the red isn't from light doing it this time! Not only unassertive, but innocent too it seems. And from there she's looking at Callisto and saying, "I don't know, id you?" She woners, even as the other stuff begins to get even weirder!

Gabrielle's next sotto voce comment is a simple "uhoh". Because Bryce's assertions don't seem to be helping a whole lot. The room and the cartoon landscape around it, including the ponies start to shred and swirl in a kaleidoscope of color. The last one to succumb is Princess Thlispi, who gives Callisto a sad apology before fully fading away into the maelstrom of color, "Sorry we couldn't do more, your Majesty."

And all of the sudden the entire group finds itself tumbling along the hallway of the Metis girls' dorm. Once she comes to a stop Gabrielle lets out a low groan, looks up at the closed, dark edged door to Callisto's room and says, "I think we should let her sleep and talk to her in the morning. I don't really want to see what might happen in the next dream world if we push her right now."
