Back Lawn — Winbarry Estates

A large swatch of green that goes in all directions. To the east and northeast, the lawn goes from the green of grass to the yellowish-brown of sea grass and then sandy beach, the blue-green of the ocean spreading out as far as the eye can see. In the center is a tall overgrown hedge maze, with dormant flowering bushes at the corners.

It is well into the evening, past the last meal and students are just beginning to wind down. Most. Some are completely unaffected by the falling sun. For Loukanos, he has the pleasure of operating at peak condition without rest, now that he has rejuvenated himself with the nectar of the gods. Still, night seems to have a dulling impact on the demigod's cheery mood. Consumed by boredom, he has taken to exploring the large hedge maze in the back lawn. Don't worry, there's a colorful trail. As he drifts through the labyrinth, he drags his fingers along the walls, allowing robust flowers of vibrant reds, gleaming golds, and deep blues to blossom from the bushes.

Even though he should know better considering Friday night's excitement, Ashton had gone for a long walk, to try to clear his head, had ended up on the beach. He lost track of time and missed the evening meal, but then again, that isn't that uncommon for the dark haired boy. His high tenor voice can be heard as he is singing.

Of all the blessings bestowed upon him by the gods, supernatural senses weren't one of them. Not physical senses, anyway. Those notes are vaguely familiar, but what really stands out is the infernal presence of the singer. Right as the boys pass each other, one on each side of the wall, Louk smiles as a welcoming rose blossoms on the outer hedge, and moments later, it literally splits open as if an entrance.

His head was lost in his own thoughts, so Ashton missed the rose blossoming before him. However, as the hedge opens up, it catches him completely by surprise. "What?" He then sees who is on the other side of the entrance, and he started laughing softly. "Hey, Louk…" His clothes hold that dampness of the beach. The youngr boy is looking tired and worn out, but there is certainly a fair bit of the stress that had been carried in his shoulders and face that is now vacant.

"Greetings," Loukanos beckons Ashton to follow with a warm smile. Now, he delicately starts plucking flowers from their bushes. "May I know your favorite color, Ashton?" He asks as he continues. He's dressed in a pair of colorful cotton shorts and a white tee. Barefoot. "How was your day?"

Ashton steps between the hedges to join Loukanos. He looks around at the flowers and smiles. "Having fun, Flower Child?" He shrugs slightly, "Not really sure, actually… I guess I am kind of fond of dark blue."

"Flower Child?" Loukanos considers that. "Heroes have codenames, yes? We'll have to work on that one. But yes! I am enjoying myself immensely, thank you very much." He looks back. "Blue looks very nice on you, that's a good choice." Around them, blue hyacinths bloom. They are a blue so deep they could be judged as violet by a passing observer. The godling starts plucking these instead, "You know the myth surrounding these flowers, right?"

Ashton smiles even wider as the godling quite obviously enjoyed himself. He shakes his head, "We will definitely come up with a codename for you, yes…" As he said, heroes have codenames. In Ashton's mind, with that, he does not need one. As far as the question of the flower, he shakes his head, "No, I'm afraid that I don't. I will admit that myths and legends weren't really something that I read much on."

"Codenames only mean something if someone else gives it to you," Loukanos says. He blinks and smirks, "What do they teach you in school these days?" Myths and legends were just about the only thing he has was taught growing up. "There was once a divine hero named Haycinthus," With a grin, Louk adds, "That's you. He was a favorite lover of the god, Apollo," He points to himself. "I guess that makes me Apollo but don't tell him I said that. Anyway, he was so beautiful that Zephyrus, the west wind, was also infatuated with him." He gives a shrug. "Don't know who he'd be. Regardless, Apollo and Hyacinthus were playing a game of discus when the wind god blew the discus towards Hyacinthus and killed him." He smiles ruefully. "We won't let that happen to you, though. Instead of letting Hades claim the boy, Apollo used his blood to make a flower. The ones we see around us." He gestures to the hyacinths around them.

Ashton smirks slightly, "Um… normally world myths are lightly touched upon in freshman English… " He cocks his head slightly, "Well, if that isn't an inspiring story to be compared to." Playful sarcasm drips from his voice, before he smiles at Louk, "So what flower would you make of me?" He leans over to enhale the fragrance of the flower. Looking up and over at Louk, as he does, his eyes practically shimmering in the bit of light in the night.

Sheepishly smiling, Loukanos says, "Yeah, I probably should've thought a few steps ahead on that one. Cut out the end, and it's semi-romantic," He lifts a brow, plucking more hyacinths from their bush. "I don't know if I could do you justice." The flowers bind together, weaving and connecting. It's only a moment until they form a lovely blue garland. Taking a step forward, he smiles, "I know you'll just say I'm biased, but I really do think you're beautiful. May I?" The crown is lifted slightly.

"No even with the end, it still is romantic." Ashton watches Loukanos work his magic and forming the garland. She shakes his head. "I don't think you will ever stop impressing me." He grins slightly, as a blush hues his cheeks, "You are biased." He nods slightly, "You may," as he nibbles on his lower lip softly.

"I'm glad you think so," Loukanos places the blue crown on Ashton's head. "I don't even know how I could be biased." He leans in and presses a gentle kiss on Ashton's lips.

Ashton reaches up and places his hands to the sides of Loukanos's head; his thumbs resting on the godling's jaw and the fingers easing into those golden curls. Growing more comfortable with affection, both receiving and showing it, the young boy returns the kiss with a bit more intensity, though still what one would call tender and playful. Even though as he does so, a blush settles comfortably on his cheeks and his ear tips. "Okay, if not biased, then delusional." A slight grin forms on his lips as they once again kiss lightly.
