Downtown Shady Cove

Businesses line both sides of the street, anything from the Chamber of Commerce, the Police and Fire Stations, a newspaper office and Post Office. Several others create the down town area, stone benches lining the sidewalks on each side of the street. A small movie theater only hosting a single movie every two weeks. Further down is a teen only club, somewhat nearby a bar and grill.

Man is the town busy this chilly evening. Not only are Christmas shoppers out en masse, but with the new Star Wars movie out there is quite a line at the theater for people wanting to see it. Of the two groups the one at the theater is the rowdier of the two, a lot of teens in it, from both the local schools and the Coral Springs.

Rocking to and fro on her heels Felicia has her hands dug deep into the pockets of her jacket, beanie covering her wild curls. She is of course it the movie line, eyeing a group of teenagers that seem to want to treat the line like a mosh pit instead of what it is.

Across the street is Moritz. He wears a long double breasted coat of army green wool over his slacks of black and soft leather stylish boots. Beneath the coat is a knit sweater and dress shirt beneath. He also wears a black scarf. His green eyes peer across to the theater and he gives pause in his stride to watch the going's on. Mainly to see what all the trouble is about, if it is indeed trouble. Though he does notice the sign that reads Rogue One and his brows furrow, for he's never seen the other movies so he has no clue what the attraction is.

Daxton's not here to see a movie, Becca would skin him, but he was considering buying a gift card or two….but not with these lines! He's got his pizza shirt on, and totally smells like the food he delivers. Maybe he's on break or in-between deliveries.

Felicia as a job now, so she actually has a little spare money to burn, and she is a sci-fi fanatic so of course she is going to see Rogue One, even if she has to wait in line to do it! And she doesn't have an SO, so no one is going to be pissed if she sees it without them. Freedom!

Since Moritz is across the street she doesn't really notice him, but Dax she can spot in a crowd a mile away, maybe it's the smell of pizza that constantly lingers on him or the fact that they are teammates and friends, whichever she puts fingers to lips and whistles before calling out to him "Hey Dax!" and then someone is shoved into her, which unfortunate for them is like being shoved into a brick wall. She is immovable at the moment, so the teenager pretty much bounces off her and staggers a bit into another group of rowdy teens.

<FS3> Moritz rolls Heightened Senses: Success.

Moritz is drawn to the call and identifies the caller as someone he's seen at the school (Felicia). Then her focus is toward Dax whom Moritz also identifies. He refocuses his vision on the both of them and the crowd overall. This refocusing allows him to see magical elements/energy (if there are any) in his line of sight. He will remain standing where he stopped, watching, still curious.

Daxton's head snaps around, Fel's voice recognizable. No speeding here, he jogs over, trying to make it clear he's not cutting into line, "Hey Fel. Rogue 1?" The pushing teens get a glare, he turns to face them slightly, incase this goes south.

"Well yeah." the other options aren't really Felicia's thing…or she has seen them already, she answers as her gaze goes from the fallen teen to Dax briefly "Though if this is who am I going to be stuck in a theater with I might just wait to go tomorrow.

The guy in the ground is rubbing at his chest and dividing his accusatory looks between the guy that pushed him and Felicia "Fuck. What the hell are you?" he starts to get to his feet, one of his friends helping. "What're you looking at?" the pusher asks in a cocky, slightly defensive tone common to teenage boys that are looking to start trouble.

She gets a nod, but Dax's defensive streak has been touchy lately and he takes the smallest step forward to place himself between Fel and the guy, "She someone you don't want to mess with." He's not been sleeping well, making him snappier than usual. At some point he's even probably mentioned weirdo dreams. Over his shoulder to Fel, "Have you already bought your ticket?"

The defensiveness has Felicia brow furrowing, or maybe it is just the situation itself, it is kinda cray cray. She eyes the guy getting up and the pusher, the latter of the two getting a more intense appraisal "About five foot eight of bluff and hot air…or is it five foot nine..I'm not good with sizes." she is not helping "Of course. I bought it online like a smart person." she answers Dax though keeps her eyes of deviant #1.

Daxton takes a movement to flash Fel an amused smile before he looks back to the guys. He keeps talking to her, but his attention is clearly on the guys. "Oh sure, smart."

Well the guy did bounce off of her so Deviant #2 isn't going to argue Dax's point about Felicia "How about you then? You look like some I could mess with." he moves forward, getting all up into Dax's personal space.

Felicia gives one of her winks at Dax "Well I'm not just a pretty face ya know." she jokes, not taking the situation as seriously as she should, but when does she.

Deviant #1 takes a step forward too looking all huffy with the snarky comment that Felicia throws out at him "You sure you want to go there?" he looks at the two of them and then his group of friends then back, his expression saying what his words don't. That they are outnumbered.

Daxton can't help it, he laughs. Loudly. His head tilts, cracking his neck, "I'm probably safer to fuck with than her. But that's just barely." He's already eyeing the entire group, picking out who he thinks is the most dangerous, who's closest to bystanders that could get int eh way. Any other obstacles he could use. No bones are being broken in his plan, but lots of bruising and possible dislocated joints.

The bystanders that are in line seem to be paying more attention than the shoppers that pass by, and most are teenagers, who seem to know a fight brewing when the see it. The girls in line are smartly retreating or if they are with someone pulling at elbows to stay out of the way. Some of the teen boys are of course egging the altercation on, others are either just watching or leaving with the girls.

"You give yourself to little credit Dax." Felicia says, giving him a few pats on the back. "You're not at all safe to mess with." then there is a hmmming noise toward Deviant #1 "Yeah pretty sure. Though I think you may need a map. Wouldn't want you to get lost or anything."

It seems both are fighting words for the two deviants and Deviant #1 steps up to shove at Felicia, no punches yet, he must have some problems hitting a girl. While Deviant #2 rushes foward in attempt to tackle Dax, more like a football player would, he is kinda built like one.

Daxton puffs, "I try to be humble." And then he's a blur. the tackle is broadcast, especially when the speedster can slow down time. Daxton is up and over the boy in a rather fancy parkour type move, grabbing his jacket and using the material to constrict and basically bind the football player, he turns holding him like a hostage, "Gotta be quicker than that, Slick." He looks to the rest of the group, "You should all leave before you get hurt."

No fancy moves for Felicia, she doesn't really know any that wouldn't cause major damage to person or property so she does a move that anyone is is an older sibling or has older siblings is quite familiar with. One of her hands plants firmly on the guys chest, gripping his jacket and she leans back a bit, with her strength and feet planted the guy ends up swinging empty air, his reach not quite long enough to make contact or go anywhere with her gripping him.

The football guy lets out a surprised gah as he is suddenly tangled up in his own jacket. The friends of the two are watching in surprise, that didn't go at all like they expected it to and they are weighing Dax's words quite seriously.

"Slick?" Felicia makes a face at Dax while she holds her attacker at bay "What are we? In an '80's movie?" so asks the girl who still high-fives.

Daxton wonders if he can get the guys tickets from them if they leave. Surely Becca couldn't be mad then? The jacket is tightened and Dax holds onto the football player waiting for a confirmation or reaction to know what the teens are doing. Still wanting to dance or leaving. He does call over his shoulder to Fel, "I never claimed to be good at trash talk. Just trash."

Dax probably could, though who knows about Rebecca, girls are cray cray! The guy that Dax is holding is struggling to get free "We're chill man. We're chill." there is pleading in his voice. Like a true bully once he is stood up to he shows what kind of chicken he really is.

"Or at least taking out the trash." well this kind of trash, Felicia doesn't know if he ever took out the real kind when he was at home, with U-23 or at work…probably work though.

The guy in her own grip seems to stop swinging when his buddy gives up "Yeah chill." he holds up hands in defeat.

Daxton huffs and gives the dude a shove towards his friends. "Then stay that way." Chill, that is. he stays turned , facing the guys in case they charge again. But He speaks to Fel, "Well…glad I decided to swing by on break." She gets a quick glance, "I was gonna get Becca a gift certificate….kinda like a packaged date night or something…" He really has no idea what to get her for the holidays. "I think i have to get her like, 7 presents."

The group of rowdy teenagers become quite less so after the altercation with Dax and Felicia. They turn their backs to the pair and talk amoungst themselves. Nothing to see here!

"Break and a show." Felicia is amused, having not gotten at all flustered by the hardly a fight. "To the movies? Huh." she isn't convinced but Dax knows Rebecca a lot better than she does so nods though seven presents as her giving him a funny luck "Seven? Why so many?"

Daxton shrugs, "She's jewish, so they have a whole week of gift giving." It's rough on his wallet. But then he smirks, "I wish i could think of a present that they could all just…add onto." Ah well. looks like the line is starting to move, "You okay by yourself?" He's not really worried. "I need to head back, breaks nearly over."

Felicia ohhhs "Hanukah, that makes more sense." she knows little about the holiday except the name so has no worthwhile advise "Good luck with that." she nods "Yeah I'll be fine. Go work."
