There has been a lot of commotion around town since the book at the Silver Leaf was opened. Despite the defeat of the pumpkin creature, other creatures have risen. Including skeletal remains of the dead. So would it be any wonder that the idea of a bear loose in the woods that escaped from the circus would draw attention. The thicket near the train station is where a pair of teenagers are currently wrapped up in a moment of amor.. when there comes a guttural moan.

"Tiffany.. I know you're in the mood, but that just sounded gross."

"Keith, that wasn't me.."

"Then who.."

A skeleton, the tattered remains of a Revolutionary War uniform hanging off of it, rises up above the couple, it's jaw unhinged and hanging loosely.

"Gwar…"

The screams of the couple echo throughout the woods as they try to run away from the creature, with yet more of them starting to rise and form into a shambling mob to head towards the city.

Skeletons. Pumpkins. And bears. Oh my! Is it any wonder that students from Coral Springs are breaking the rules and leaving school in the middle of the week to go assist, looky-loo or both at the supernatural things going down in town. Being the risktaker and trouble maker she is Felicia has gone solo in the skeleton bashing department, or maybe she was with a group and just got separated, either is possible really. The teen titan had been going full tilt since she got to town, rushing here and there and was finally taking a moment to relax. Parking her motorcycle on the other side of the abandoned train station, Felicia sits astride it as she pulls a Monster drink from her pocket.

Her timing is sucky though as soon as she pops the tab the screams ring out. They aren't expected, but she doens't seem surprised. A grin lights her face and she quickly kills the engine as she dismounts the bike, then begins to hurry around the station, sipping on her drink as she rushes in to save the day!

Dyna is new to the area, so, she wanders the old train station, seeing it for the first time. It's interesting, to see the old train cars and the decrepit building and to ponder what they might have looked like when they were still operational. History is important, so, here she is, trying to learn some of the local history.

The screams get her attention though, and they kick in her programming, and she heads right for the sreaming teenagers, ready for anything!

The young couple at least still had their clothes on, even if the girl's blouse was slightly unbuttoned, showing more than a little bit of cleavage. As they notice the two women entering the woods, the girl pauses as she sees the heroes. "Skeletons.. there's skeletons in the woods!" she screams, gesturing behind them.

And there is the skeleton that had risen near them, shambling forth towards the group, steps awkward and clumsy as it's jaw clacks against bone of the skull, bony hands reached out in the form of an attack.

In the meantime, a large shadow observes the group. With a grunt of frustration as the large creature glances from the woman towards the skeleton, he makes no move yet.

The energy drink is tossed aside for the moment…Felicia will pick it up later, as the lovebirds run toward her with thier warnings "Didn't anyone tell them that Halloweens over?" yeah, she doesn't take things seriously…even skeletons on the loose. As she moves to intercept the approaching walking anatomy class escapees she ups her density to invulnerable levels. Running in the woods though isn't the best idea. Woods=Trees=Trees=Roots=Foot caught, which makes her first swing go wild and she misses the skeleton, punching the tree instead, which with her density and strength in combination….someone needs to yell Timber! cause it is falling down. Poor, poor tree!

That's a skeleton. That's absolutely a skeleton. Dyna arrives just in time to see Felicia fell a tree instead of the boney creature and while she can't quite wince in sympathy, there's a part of her that recognises it as unfortunate.

Dyna moves, advancing on the skeleton. Usually, she'd have to say something. Have to give a warning. But this thing doesn't appear to be a person, so, she can sidestep that requirement.

Dyna steps in with strangely mechanical focus, and pistons out her right fist, aiming squarely for the skeleton's sternum!

Dyna's fist impacts solidly with the sternum of the creature, cracking it as parts of a rib are knocked away. The creature's jaw cracks and clatters, and it attempts to use it's hands to grasp a hold of the automated girl to get a grip on her, but it seems she won't budge for him. The skeleton clatters in agitation.

The sharp report of a rifle rings out, and the large shell is kicked out. The bullet passes near Dyna, and barely misses her and the skeleton. With a snort of anger, stomping from the woods comes a massive bear, slinging the rifle over his shoulder. He growls gutturally, but Felicia hears in her head a bit of a human voice, even if it's speaking in Russian at the moment.

Well taking out a tree wasn't part of the initial plan, but plans rarely go as expected. Well Felicia has a tree, may as well use it right! She lifts the tree easily, She is a lot stronger than she looks apparently. The gun shot rings out that doesn't faze her as much as the voice in her head…especially since it is male and she doesn't know Russian…that's just not right. Her brow furrows as she swings the tree. Someone should really tell her to stop getting her superhero fighting techniques from comic books. Trees really don't make good weapons.

Dyna immediately moves to grapple the skeleton as it goes to get a grip on her. She's nullified those boney talons but that's also kept her hands busy. Idly, some back process of her programming ponders whether the skeleton is capable of communication or if the clattering sounds it makes are something else. She kills the process just as she picks up a gunshot.

The bullet passes just past her and causes a shift in her combat subroutines. Problem, new problem. Possibility that the skeleton has a friend with a firearm? The bear coming out of the woods causes another shift, as does the fact that it is carrying a /rifle/.

Dyna draws her head back and slams forwards, headbutting the skeleton, and hoping to get some space to ensure that Felicia's tree doesn't hit her, as well!

The skeleton seems to be a ninja skeleton, or at least built from some very sturdy magic. The tree swings by the creature, just as it turns to face Dyna, it finds itself getting a very unaffectionate headbutt. Stumbling backwards, cracks show in the skull of the creature as it clacks and clatters again in what appears to be agitation just before a dark shadow appears behind it.

A massive claw swipes out and knocks the skeleton to the side, sending it smacking into a tree. It's still moving, but clearly slowed by the numerous hits that Dyna and now the newcomer have put upon it. It is an Asian black bear that is standing before the pair of women. He rises on his hind legs and rears up, adjusting the ushanka on his head before he growls, and manages, in a strained.. guttural tone.

"…damn. Bones…"

Frustrated Felicia is frustrated. She is usually better at this sorta thing…not really, but she likes to think she is. Her ego just won't quit or let her think otherwise really. The walking, talking bear in the hat gets as much of a startled reaction as the skeletons did originally, which is none. The girl doesn't do surprise, shock or startlement…she's really no fun in those departments, sorry not sorry. "I know. It's like they didn't get the memo!" she says aloud. The tree is just dropped and she stalks foward "Excuse me I'm going to borrow this for a minute." she then grabs the offending skeleton by the ribs in an attempt to lift and throw it against a tree.

As the skeleton stumbles back, Dyna advances, unwilling to let it get even a moment's respite.

But then that bear is there, and his claw sends the skeleton sprawling, giving Dyna a few seconds to assess the bear. She turns her green eyes on the bear, openly staring. That's a bear with a rifle and wearing a hat - a ushanka, if she's got it right. And the bear is speaking to her, and she understands. "Yes," she replies, unsure of what else to say.

That datapoint runs a few cycles around in her head, keeping her back as Felicia hefts and hurls the skeleton.

Dyna moves. With the skeleton against the wall, so to speak, she aims to put the issue to rest with her foot through its body - and, hopefully, not stuck in the tree trunk.

The skeleton is grabbed by Felicia and is slammed back into the tree. Further ribs fall away, and more fissures appear, but the undead creeature seems to still be able to move. And with as close as Felicia is, it manages to swipe it's clawed hand across her torso to rake his sharp, bony fingers across her flesh. The creature clatters in satisfaction as it draws blood, but it is short lived.

Grabbing the creature, the bear attempts to snap the skeleton in half, but apparently the creature is flexible enough that it does not break immediately. However, it is held in check for just a moment to allow Felicia and Dyna a chance to get an attack off on it as the bear roars in his frustration.

Well success is short lived for the teen titan. Felicia makes another attack on the skeleton, a grabbling one this time, but apparently skeletons are grabble proof. Fighting skeletons is so much easier on TV. If life were an anime she would be all set! Between the flesh wound on her torso and her lack of any good hits to the creature she pulls her phone out, takes a quick pic hits a few buttons before the thing disappers into her pocket once more.

Dyna puts a good dent in the tree trunk, but doesn't hit the skeleton. It's a new experience for her, fighting a skeleton, and Dyna can't quite say she anticipated animate bones being such a problem.

Enough of a problem that Felicia got wounded. Dyna says, calmly, "Please do not endanger yourself. Remain at a safe distance, and I will handle this."

And that's the plan, as Dyna steps in and throws another punch at the skeleton. It grabs her fist, and Dyna has the strange awareness that even with the power she diverts to her arm, the skeleton is keeping her at arm's length. She tilts her head, like a bird seeing something shiny. Huh, that's different.

The forest is home to the former train station that serviced Shady Cove in the late 19th and early 20th century. Long since replaced, the old station is overgrown with dense forest and thickets, the old rail cars useless and condemned - yet teenagers still come out here on dares and occassionally make out. Two such teenagers were caught in such a moment by a small horde of skeletons that is forming to head towards the city. The lone skeleton that shambled out from the woods is currently under attack by two female heroes and one large bear.

The skeleton manages to move away from Felicia's attack with a speed rarely seen in such creatures, a clattering from it's teeth chattering that make it sound like it's laughing at Felicia, even as Dyna's attack is intercepted and the two are locked together again. The creature chatters and clicks, and from the thicket, a second skeleton emerges, starting towards the group of heroes. In the meantime, the skeleton that is latched to Dyna attempts to attack the redheaded woman, it's clawed fingers lashing out in attack. The creature's grip on Dyna strengthens, gripping the young woman tighter.

That's when the bear returns. Grabbing the skeleton in it's arms, he gives it a massive bear hug. As he does so, there's a glance to Dyna, and he speaks in a series of broken English and growls and guttural bear noises.

"More.. coming.."

The sound of a horse's neigh sounds loud above the hubub, and a few moments later, the source is revealed - a large winged horse, with an equally sizable young woman, Gyda dismounts, pulls her sword from her back sheathe, and calls out sunnily, "Greetings, friends!" Oh, there's a skeleton. With a scowl, the blonde girl attempts a swipe at it with her sword. "Go back to Hel, vile thing!" Unfortunately, the swing goes wide, but now, well, she's in the thick of it.

She has a few seconds to stare at the winged horse and its swordswoman rider, too. This is certainly turning out to be an interesting trip to an abandoned train station, Dyna reflects, giving a glance downwards to make sure that the skeleton stays down this time.

Others may have noticed the blood seeping from Felicia's torso and through the nice gashes in her shirt, but either she hasn't or it isn't really enough to stop her. Most likely it is the latter of the two. With another skeleton coming and more possible, apparently they travel in packs…is pack the right word for a group of skeletons? She is once more makes an attack on the next skeleton, giving up on the fancy stuff and just throwing a simple right hook, hoping to at least knock its head off, but at this point she will be happy with just connecting!

The skeleton that Gyda has happily come in to try to dispatch is swiped at and the young Valkyrie misses. The skeleton, on the other hand, does not miss, his cold, bone-claw like hands scraping across the young woman's midsection as he attacks in turn and clatters in alarm as the first skeleton, slammed into with a piledriver strike by Dyna, dissolves into dust. Two more skeletons come out of the thicket, starting to advance on the group, their tattered uniforms dragging off of thie frame.

The bear frowns, as a bear does and reaches to pull the rifle off of his shoulder. Chambering a round, the gun kicks back with a massive /whompf/ of a shot being fired. Unfortunately, it passes through the ribcage of the skeleton and does no damage to it. Wojtek roars his disapproval at this as another skeleton joins the fray, three skeletons advancing on the group of heroes.

Daxton got a rather disturbing snap chat from Felicia, and is going to ahem words with her….once the fighting is done. A blur zips into the field, and for those of the heroes that notice such things, the scent of pizza. he doesn't stop, instead he barrels into the skeleton nearest another person, the one on Gyda. His knee slams into it's chest, hopefully knocking it back. And maybe knocking loose some joints as well. "Seriously, Felicia?" He's in battle mode, but can't help a small quip.

The skeletons are still on the move towards the town. The skeleton that Gyda and Daxton are battling takes a hard hit from the blue blur speeding by. The creature clatters in what sounds like confusion, and lashes out at Gyda, cutting across her again as he continues to take a toll on the Valkyrie in training. This is starting to go bad for the heroes.

Speaking of, the Skeleton that Felicia is battling gets an upper hand on the Titaness. Driving his clawed hand into her side, he rakes her hard, clattering and chattering as he continues to press his attack, his teeth chattering in Felicia's face.

The last skeleton has a bear try to jump upon it. The bear misses as it lands on the ground and Wojtek is distracted enough that the skeleton rakes across his back, causing the large beast to roar in pain, his voice rininging clear in everyone's heads for a moment as he teaches them all a Russian curse before the bear roars and goes to all fours, taking on a more feral approach.

Were it not for her increased density she would probably be enough to down her, but abs of steel help. The massive bear catches Dyna in his arms at the last moment. There's a glare down at her that speaks of the more primal side of the massive creature. But to Wojtek's credit, he doesn't turn on the woman and start mauling her. Instead, the focus comes directly upon the skeleton that the two of them are facing off against. "No.. more!" he roars, dropping down to all fours and launching at the skeleton to try to start to maul it, blood showing up in his dark fur as he's on the attack. As he launches at the skeleton, they slam into each other, and then seperate, neither of them doing damage to the other.

The skeleton attacking Felicia, however, is having better luck, as the density lass is finding herself pressed into further by the chattering, clattering creature, his other hand raking into her side as he bites down on her like the worst Homecoming date /ever/ as he gets all handsy with the young woman.

The skeleton that was attacking Felicia takes a solid hit from the flat of Gyda's sword. Enough so that the creature's bones crack, but don't quite break. It's in pretty bad shape however as it releases Felicia to turn around and swipe it's bloodied claws across Gyda's body as it moves just enough to avoid Felicia's attack. It swipes clumsily, missing the Valkyrie, which is a shame, because it would have continued feasting on Felicia, painting himself red with her blood.

The bear takes a running start and then jumps high into the sky. For a moment, he's above the treeline before the massive black bear comes falling down to earth and rattles the entire area, but the damned skeleton remains moving and unphased by the bear shaking the ground beneath it.

She is pretty strong, she took out a tree and then swung it around but can't get free from a skeleton. Well if one method doesn't work, try another. She takes a breath and concentrates on getting small, but of course now is the time it decides to not work for her. Stupid brain damage! Another f-bomb is dropped along with a complaint along the same lines about not being able to shrink. And then all of a sudden the skeleton is no more and she is being greeted by a strange teen girl. "We will exchange pleasantries later." Gyda informs Felicia solemnly. She turns, running at the skeleton Dyna is currently facing down and smacks herself, shield first into the thing to send it stumbling rattling a few steps away.

<FS3> Felicia rolls Body: Failure.

Exchanging greetings later is probably for the best. Felicia certainly doesn't look to hot at the moment, shock will do that to you. And considering how much injury she has taken she is certainly getting shocky and wobbley on her feet so Dax being there as she starts to topple is probably a good thing. Well for her not so much for him at first at least. She is uber heavy at the moment so its easy to tell she didn't go into this fight at light weight, literally or figuratively. She is withit enough to lighten herself up though so as not to crush her speedy friend.

<FS3> Wojtek rolls Strength: Good Success.
<FS3> Opposed Roll — Wojtek=Physical Vs Skeleton=10
< Wojtek: Great Success Skeleton: Great Success
< Net Result: Wojtek wins - Marginal Victory

Wojtek has had enough. With Gyda smacks the skeleton into the clear, the massive black bear roars and heaves one of the broken down train cars from its mooring. Hefting it over his head, he pulls it back and growls. "Choo.. choo." he roars and flings the car at the creature. It slams into the skeleton and slams into a tree, sliding several feet before coming to a stop. The skeleton does not return. Dropping down to all fours, the bear snorts it's disapproval at the skeleton before sitting down on it's hindquarters to rub at his side.

And it's over. Dyna waits, standing still, head turning this way and that until she's evidently satisfied that the area is clear.

She takes a step, and one sneaker-clad foot lands atop a certain bear's ushanka. She picks it up, studies it, and then makes her way over to Wojtek.

"You dropped this," she says plainly, holding it out to the bear. Where does a bear even get a hat like that, she wonders.

<FS3> Wojtek rolls Telepathy: Good Success.

Where a bear gets all such things. At bear store, of course. Taking the ushanka, Wojtek dusts it off with surprising care before he moves to place it back upon his head. And then he holds out his wrists and looks expectantly at Dyna. If she doesn't understand he starts to growl and rumble, but his voice speaks in heavily ladened Russian-accented English in her head as well as anyone else nearby. "In country illegally. Seek asylum. Fleeing Russia. Seeking Mister Blastic. Need help." he says as he expects to be arrested for what he's done.

<FS3> Daxton rolls Super Speed: Success.

Yes, well. Dak has no idea who Fel's new friends are, but she's bleeding out in his arms. "If you're Coral Springs students, meet back at the school. Otwehrwise….I'm running her to med Bay." His shirt says Light House Pizza on it is now stained with Fel's blood. He does take a short moment, which is long to him, to scan the area, looking for any other issues. "Be careful. " And there's the other issue, a talking bear, "I'll come back as soon as she's taken care of and get you to the school, if they can't." And then he's off carrying Felicia, moving much father than any human alive.

Dyna needs a moment to process that. She was practically raised on law books but she's not sure they ever covered the particulars of bears and asylum. "I will not arrest you," she says, misreading him putting his arms out entirely.

When Dak talks, Dyna turns to look. She is technically a student there, as of a day or two ago. "Coral Springs should be able to assist you, bear. Are you currently being pursued?"

No, she read the arms thing completely, as Wojtek expected to be arrested. "Not pursued. Trouble in Russia. Was told Mister Blastic is helpful." he says, rolling to his feet. "Get stuff. Follow you." he says as he moves into the old train station to gather his gear. When he comes out, he has a backpack, his rifle, several over pieces of gear.. and he's pushing a motorcycle. "Ready."

"I do not know if he is helpful, but I think he will help you as best he can," Dyna says. She watches the bear come out with a backpack and bike.

"This way," she says, heading off. And then, a few moments later as they walk along…

"I have never met a talking bear before. I like your hat."

<It is a good hat. Came from father.> Wojtek says as he walks next to the woman and then looks over at her. <I like your hair. Never met woman who shoots lasers before.>
