Coral Springs Hub

From here there is a circular stair going up to the administration level, and a couple of halls leading to the classrooms that ring the 'ground' floor of Coral Springs High. Light comes in through the large window over the administration level, once can see the cafeteria made in the old fort lighthouse and crows nest. A few benches are down here for students to occupy between classes on this level. As well, there are a few lockers in the hallways beyond the open courtyard on this level to hold students belongings during the day. There is a set of double doors leading to an elevator that leads down, more modern than the fort itself, added long after the fort was built.

"Suuuure. You'll get settled in right away. Ain't even send anybody to hold the doors for me," says the young black man in the wheelchair as he pushes in through the front doors. "Now, where they hide that elevator?" he asks, looking around. Once Lincoln spots it, he starts wheeling in that direction, a large duffel bag hung from the back of his wheelchair.

Yeah there is an elevator, but the energetic teenager rarely ever takes it, not when there are banisters to slide down and stairs to jump. Felicia is doing the later at the moment, which is totally against school rules. Shoe in hand, the other where it belongs, on her foot she reaches the end and hops off, landing on her one socked foot. Oh! An audience…one she doesn't recognize even, all the better "Hai!" she greets, pausing to pull her other shoe on. The girl seems to be dressed for work, Astro park t-shirt, with a name tag with what is probably her name, jeans and now both sneakers "I don't know you. That either means you are new or…well just that I suppose."

Link is a little surprised at the appearance of someone else, but he upnods in Felicia's direction as he continues towards the elevator. He chuckles and smiles, one side of his face sliding up in a smirk. "Yeah, pretty obvious, huh? Sup? Name's Link." He takes a look at Felicia's uniform and hms, before nodding towards the elevatorrs. "Instructions I got said dorms is on the bottom floor and I should get settled in there then report to the office. Sound about right to you?" he asks her.

"Here a bit early aren't ya? The term doesn't start for another month and a half." Felicia does offer a welcoming smile, partially hidden by the thick fall off hair over the side of her face "Huh? No warnings about breaking rules? Explanations of detentions…or any of that stuff?" she asks curiously "Must not be in Ares then."

"Well, I can't walk. I think they fig're, I can't be /too/ much trouble," Link said. "Besides. I don't think I've gotten the full riot act. School ain't started yet, they pro'ly ain't got enough eyes to keep us all on point." He rolls over towards Felicia and offers his hand for shaking. "But nah, I'm in something called Athena. Apparently, gettin' shot for a shorty means I've got a strong sense of justice or something."

Felicia can't help but give a chuckle "They better hope I am never in a wheelchair then…they think I am trouble now…they don't want to see me in one of those." she circles a finger in the direction of his wheelchair. "Not when all of them are aimed at me." she takes a few steps forward when he starts to move in her direction and takes his hand to shake, "Felicia, but you probably knew that already." her grip is strong, but not bone breaking or hurty at all "I'm in Ares. If you here about trouble, we are usually right in the middle of it."

Link's own handshake is easily as firm as Felicia's, and it might be obvious to her that he's definitely strong as well. "Good to know. You ever need some protecting, I guess that's kinda what we're supposed to do. Though, I ain't really sure how I'ma be protecting a bunch of folks from my chair yet. I guess that's what they s'posed to teach me, tho'," he says, smirking again. He nods towards Felicia's outfit. "So you on your way to work, then? That's the amusement park I saw on the way from Thunder Bay?"

"I'll keep that in mind, but I tend to be the group tank, if anything." Felicia gives him a wink at her bit of geek speak. Felicia waves off his unsurety about how he is going to do that "Yeah, once you get into training sessions with your team, you and them will figure it out." she rocks back on her heels a bit "Course there is more than one way to protect somebody, you don't actually have to be a physical shield to do it."

"Yeah? Guess we'll find out," Link says with a shrug. "They said I should start thinkin' bout a codename, too. And no, ain't no way in hell they go'n call me 'Wheels,'" he says, a rueful smirk on his face. "But, I gots time for that." He then looks around a little bit, then leans in to ask, a little more quietly, "How you think it is, here? I mean … I an't scared or nothing. But … man, this a LONG way from the crib, you know?"

There is a bit of a nose wrinkle "I'm in the 'earning your codename in action' camp myself." Felicia tells him, probably suggesting she doesn't have one just yet. "Plenty of time. Classes haven't even started yet!" when he leans foward so does she, mirroring his actions in a way "I've no complaints, except all those boring classes they want us to take, but apparently you can't have all the fun without the boring to go with it." she pulls a face "And where is the crib?"

Link nods a little and settles back into his seat. "Well, guess it's downstairs, now. But, used to be Chicago," he says, smiling. "Speaking of which, I should probably get to that settling in and let you get on your way to work. Don't want to be causing trouble right away my first day, or they may have ta move me," he smirks. "See you around?"

"Yep, that's where we all are. Try not to let that bother you." she winks again, maybe some are bothered by that fact, but she isn't one of them it seems "Definitely not Ares." she gives another laugh "Yeah, I'll be around, though sometimes you may have to look real close." she gives a bit of a wave and then heads off towards the stairs "And welcome to the first day of the rest of your life!" she calls over her shoulder as she heads up the stairs, two steps at a time.
