Lincoln's powers manifested when he was shot at a party while trying to defend a young lady.

Powers

GRAVITY: Lincoln can manipulate the 'local gravity' of any object he touches. This means he can either increase or decrease the effect gravity has of the object. He has to be touching the object to affect it, but once he's adjusted it, the change in gravity will stay in effect for a period of time determined by how intently he applies the change. For example- the thug that shot him was pinned to the ground for thirty minutes after he let go of him. However, that's pretty unusual right now, as he's just learning to use his powers. Typically, 5-10 minutes would be his limit without extended concentration. But, as long as he's touching the object, the ability remains in effect.

DENSITY: As part of his abilitiy to manipulate gravity, he can also manipulate an objects density. This does NOT affect its weight, just its solidity. He can make objects incredibly resistant to damage by increasing their density- this includes his own body. Bulletproof, for sure, and also impervious to a great many forms of physical harm. When it comes to his body, increasing the density doesn't make him any less flexible. However, any other objects he reinforces do become more rigid.

MASS: Lincoln can increase the mass in his own body. This makes him heavier. The affect doesn't limit his own ability to move, but it can make it harder for other people to move him. It's not generally that useful, except for two things. First, he can increase his mass enough to give him a gravitic field that will attract other objects. At the moment, he's not strong enough to attract objects that are fastened down, but someday he might be able to. However, he can't control WHICH objects are affected by his gravity- any objects in the area will be. Second, this ability allows him to increase his momemtum, making him harder to stop or knock off-course- sort of like the Juggernaut.

LEVITATION/SKATING: Lincoln can't fly. While he can reduce or reverse his gravity so that he lifts off the ground and floats, he then becomes pretty immobile. However, what he CAN do, is what he calls 'skating.' By manipulating the gravity around his wheelchair, he can slide it along the ground without moving the wheels. He does have to HOLD the wheels, but he doesn't have to turn them. He can skate on any flat surface, including up walls or on the ceiling. Because gravity. This doesn't help him with stairs at all, though.

TRAINING: Since Link has the ability to change the mass of objects, he can lift weights without ACTUALLY lifting weights. He's also awesome to have as a spotter because if you suddenly can't lift something, he can make that something effectively weightless. Plus, increased gravity also makes great resistance training. Also, due to his ability to alter the density of his body and muscles, Link is gonna be able to become MUCH stronger than your average human. Someday. Not tomorrow. But maybe down the road.

History

Lincoln grew up in Chicago, the son of an auto-mechanic and a schoolteacher. He's an only child. He's smart and well-studied, but he'd been expecting to make a life out of playing football.
